Managing and coaching existing teams, (re-)building new departments and performing/coordinating (financial) projects are some of my strengths. Besides the necessary knowledge I’m very driven to create extraordinary results.

By performing several tasks at AVR, Unilever, Océ, FrieslandFoods, Aggreko, Desso, etc. in a.o. The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium I was able to pick up an all-round and international experience in Shared Service Centers.
This is primarily focused on managing, improving and/or starting-up (financial) teams in which the AO/IC is a central factor. Renewal and efficiency improvements based upon KPI-reporting were dealt with on a daily basis. During these assignments I have managed teams varying from 8 till 24 employees.

Some examples of these tasks are:

  • Managing Accounts Receivables and/of – Payables
  • Starting/building Shared Service Centre
  • Reducing backlogs
  • KPI-reporting
  • Migrations of several entities
  • Process descriptions according to AOIC, ISO en Sarbanes Oxley regulations
  • Movex (ERP) implementation
  • Hiring and training new employees and building teams
  • Etc.

I am straight forward and communicate clear about what kind of results need to be created  and what my expectations are.

”Self managing teams” is what I am trying to bring into practice as much as possible. In my vision it creates space for flexibility and stimulates personal development of the employees which will lead to possibilities for improvement.

Not everything has to be on a leach because people are perfectly capable of thinking on their own, responding and bringing on ideas to contribute to a common goal.
Open and honest communication is crucial to gain a sense of trust so that both sides know what to expect from each other.
